Our approach is multidisciplinary and patient centred. The real benefit of this is that the patient can get the consensus opinion of a group of specialists and a personalised treatment plan is created for each patient.
Xổ số thứ tư hàng tuầnOur strength lies within the excellence of our clinical teams; we have an exceptional team of oncoplastic breast surgeons, breast care nurses, radiologists, oncologists and pathologists whose relentless focus is on improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
Xổ số thứ tư hàng tuầnWe have established a reputation for providing a high standard of care and consistently receive high patient satisfaction scores which reflects not only the outstanding services we provide, but the holistic approach and level of patient education offered.
We understand the diagnosis of breast cancer can be stressful and overwhelming. We offer cutting edge treatment for all stages of breast cancer. Patients have the opportunity to be part of clinical trials and new treatments that offer the maximum potential for long term survival.
Our emphasis is on survivorship and the needs of modern women. All our surgeons are oncoplastic trained, combining the latest plastic surgery techniques with breast cancer surgery to give both the best cancer treatment and cosmetic outcome. We offer breast conservation strategies with oncoplastic remodelling, therapeutic mammoplasty, and symmetrisation surgery. We are at the forefront of providing all forms of reconstruction, including pre- and sub-pectoral immediate implant-based reconstruction with acellular dermal matrix and microvascular surgical options such as DIEP flap and SGAP flap.
We are part of the London Sarcoma Service, one of the largest sarcoma services in Europe with an international reputation for providing the highest quality of care to patients with sarcoma. Our aim is that the first operation is the definitive operation and performed with an oncoplastic approach.
As the designated referral service in London, we offer specialised, age appropriate treatment to teenagers and young adults aged 14 to 24 year with breast cancer.
This tertiary referral service, commended at the last peer review, is run in conjunction with the thoracic and plastic surgery teams. This multi-disciplinary surgical group provides safe resection of advanced cancers directly affecting the chest wall with resurfacing to allow rapid continuation of oncological therapies.
Xổ số thứ tư hàng tuầnThis is most common during breast feeding. With thousands of babies delivered every year at UCLH, we are experienced in managing lactational breast abscesses. Our emphasis is on education and treating women in the outpatient setting to avoid hospital admissions or surgery.
Women who are not breastfeeding can also get mastitis, as can men. With a multidisciplinary approach that includes our Infectious Diseases and Microbiology teams, we are able to treat patients with long-standing breast conditions refractory to standard antibiotics or surgery.
Xổ số thứ tư hàng tuầnHaving a strong family history of breast cancer or a mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes can increase a woman’s risk of developing breast cancer. On average by the age of 70, between 65 and 85 per cent of patients carrying a BRCA1 mutation and between 40 and 85 per cent with a BRCA2 mutation will have developed breast cancer. This compares with the 12.5 per cent lifetime risk for the average woman in the UK.
Xổ số thứ tư hàng tuầnWe work closely with the regional Genetics Unit to see and treat women considering risk reduction surgery. Working as a multi-disciplinary team we offer a variety of reconstructive options.
